Metal Label Birthday Card

Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope everyone is enjoying this time to reflect on all that we are thankful for, as well as time with family, friends, food and even football or hunting if those hobbies are your "thing" too.

If you stopped by here yesterday, you know that I actually pre-scheduled this (one of several I wrote for this week) post to display some cards I created earlier in honor of my oldest daughter's birthday.

Before I forget too...I hope by now you have also had a chance to participate in our First Annual Thanksgiving Blog Hop at Papercraft Star.  If not, please stop by for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate from My Favorite Things... our generous sponsor for this special event.

This card combines some of my favorite colors with the gorgeous Sassafras Indie Girl patterned paper.  I also used something new that I've not tried on a card before... a metal label.  I purchased the metal labels at Meijer here in my town. Because we don't have any official scrapbooking stores in our town, I am always tickled pink when I find something in the craft sections at our local stores that I really like and want to try out.  Trust me, this photograph doesn't do the glittery metal label justice... it is so pretty!

Okay now, don't forget to leave plenty of room for dessert! Happiest of Thanksgiving to You!
