Whoot Whoot... I'm home from the Windy City and the FANTASTIC training that I recieved from Campaigners and Provocraft! There were 200 women and 2 men in attendance and talk about a passion for papercrafting... our group had it! Unfortunately the only photos I have right now are on my phone and I have no idea how to upload them. I'll have to wait to share some when I get them from some of the wonderful people that I met while at training... Especially Janice and Karla! I spent a lot of time with those two... Janice and I trained together almost the entire weekend and well, I just can't say enough great things about both of those crafty women!
The most exciting thing that happened this weekend... besides our trip to Windy City Scrapbooking via Hummer Limo loaded up with 31 women was the fact that I got to see the Cricut Cake in action (and ooo, I even touched it!! LOL). On May 2nd the "Provocraft Army" (including myself) will begin demonstrating the Cake at a store near you (unless perhaps if you are located on Mars...or Venus even). I'm hardly waiting for my Cricut Cake to arrive (expecting it any day now). Of course, it's not mine to keep... but as long as I am demonstrating that baby is here at my house! LOL. Stay tuned in the future for a photo of a cake or two...as soon as I get the hang of it myself! ha-ha. Seriously, while there is a learning curve with regard to cutting the frosting, gumpaste and fondant sheets (did you know they come premade in lots of spiffy colors??!!!)... if you know how to run a Cricut ... you'll get the hang of the Cricut Cake in no time at all! Oh and don't get me started on the BEAUTIFUL images on the Cricut Cake Cartridges...or the fact that once again Provocraft has gone above and beyond the call of duty and designed it so your new Cricut Cake can use the same cartridges that your other Cricut machines can! Don't you just LOVE it!!
Any...whooo.... I'll keep you posted on the latest news right here at Runs with Scraps (perhaps I should consider changing my blog name to Runs with Cake??!!)... lol!
Off to get some design team work done....and until next time....don't forget to, "let them eat cake!" :-)
