Compose a Card with Becky #8

Compose a Card with Becky Challenge #8 is a little bit different than her other challenges.  There were less restrictions and two inspiration photos (typically she only provides one).  The photos are of her daughter's in their Easter dresses (so cute)!  You can see the girls photos right here. The brown and cream dress actually reminded me of my favorite Easter dress (ever!) back when I was only 8 years old, it was brown and cream as well and I had an Easter Bonnet that matched. Anyhow, I knew I had to use the brown polka-dot dress as my inspiration for this card.

I also tried a die and stamp technique that Debbie Olsen a Designer for Papertrey Ink used on a card shortly after the new dies were released.  For her card she combined two and three flower die cuts to make one cute flower.  I put that technique to action on this card and really liked the finished result. While I am on the subject of Papertrey Ink, all of the supplies I used to create this card are in fact.... Papertrey Ink! The only exception to that are the pearls (Hero Arts), the stick pin (Tim Holtz) and the patterned paper (October Afternoon). I was tickled that the patterned paper matched the stamps so well!  By the way, you still have time to enter your own card for Challenge #8 on Becky's blog! Best of luck and enjoy your evening!

That is just loaded with polka dot prettiness. Don't you love it when you have a memory like that of a dress from childhood?

Your card is sooo beautiful! I love the flowers and the intricate detail on the ribbon. Is that a small piece of brown wire? Absolutely stunning.
